THE SURPRISINGLY BROAD RANGE OF GENTS CORPORATE CLOTHING AVAILABLE TODAY

For those males among us who have grown used to rocking up at their place of work clad in jeans and a T-shirt, or something equally casual, the prospect of dressing in any form of corporate clothing designed for gents may hold little appeal and the very concept might well be viewed as unduly restrictive. Despite such negative attitudes, however, the idea has much to recommend it, and there can be a number of valuable benefits for the company that chooses to adopt a selection of branded garments as the basis of a dress code for employees of either gender.

Those employees, who may have some reservations about the virtue of uniformity, perhaps need to re-examine the concept from the client’s viewpoint. A company logo displayed discretely on the pocket of a shirt is all that a customer might need in order to identify someone may be of assistance among a crowd of other visitors. Today, this idea may even work in reverse, allowing an employee to recognise someone who is not authorised to be in a restricted location and might possibly be up to no good.

Most importantly, though, gents’ corporate clothing can serve to convey the image of a company that respects traditional values, such as dressing to impress. In addition, the use of its logo and company colour scheme provides the means with which to promote a business’s brand during those times when its employees are en route to or from their place of work. Should it be required to extend such opportunities beyond the premises and the daily commutes, employers will often choose to make items such as golf shirts, T-shirts, fleeces, or tracksuits that also display their company’s branding available.

Generally, the more credible suppliers of this type of corporate clothing, whether intended for gents or for ladies, should be in a position to offer a variety of means with which to append the desired branding. Popular on items such as shirts and blazers, embroidery creates a long-lasting, three-dimensional rendering, although the technique is more demanding and correspondingly more expensive than those required to perform most print procedures. However, where the required artwork may contain a lot of very fine detail, only a more specialised, digital form of printing involving the use of sublimation or heat transfer technology, will be able to guarantee the necessary degree of clarity.

Gents’ corporate clothing will often include waterproof items for which many of the more common branding techniques are unsuitable. In such cases, debossing, in which a logo is impressed upon the material with the use of heat and pressure, results in a permanently stamped impression to provide a subtle, but stylish tone-on-tone appearance. A similar effect can be achieved with a technique known as laser etching. In this process, the laser acts to remove dye from the surface of various materials. It even works on buttons and zippers, and seems to create detailed images without damage to the garment or interference with its waterproofing properties. Although an excellent option for most colours, it is not recommended for black, white, or navy apparel.

While branding is an essential feature of corporate clothing for gents, so too is quality and, unfortunately, this is a feature of these products that the purchaser cannot always take for granted. For many, an option that has consistently proved to meet and often to exceed the hoped-for standards, both in terms of product quality and individual service, has been to deal with Best Clothing.
